JOHN WHO ? BILL WHO ?

The windows from the Avenue Montaigne Dior store are now showing a glance at the first couture collection designed by new DA Raf Simons complete with the runway decor.

How fast is the house to erase the work of Bill Gaytten, DA by interim.
His collections are still in store until the new Spring/Summer collection designed by Raf Simons arrive. What kind of products will be in the windows from now to June when Raf new s/s collection arrive ?

My guess : accessories and perfume...

Didier Ludot hosts Claude Montana fashion exhibit

Because of my canceled flight I did miss the opening reception for the Claude Montana exhibit in the windows of Didier Ludot Palais Royal stores. If I missed the occasion to say hello to Monsieur Montana it was easier to take pictures of the windows the day after.

In the 80's Claude Montana shows were not to be missed.

The clothes, all coming from Didier Ludot personal collection will be on display during Fashion week from September 26 until October 7.

New York is mad about Yayoi Kusama…

Yayoi Kusama and her work have taken over New York this summer. The Whitney is hosting a retrospective of her work, but you better hurry before it close at the end of the month, Louis Vuitton stores are offering accessories with her trademark dots, unfortunately the windows are down by now and her 2004 installation "Guidepost to the New Space" is still on view in Hudson River Park, where Christopher Street ends.

At The Whitney

Louis Vuitton's collection with Kusama, includes an extensive range of shoes, bags, dresses, and scarves, all reflecting Kusama’s distinctive aesthetic. The collaboration is Vuitton’s most extensive with an artist ever.

"Guidepost to the New Space"

Now Ms. Kusama has created an artwork that doubles as netting for a condo construction site in the Meatpacking district on West 14th Street.
